What is the OPD TOM® CertificationPro™ Program?

OPD Solutions has been implementing the Total Order Management (TOM®) business process model and methodology domestically, as well as internationally, since the early 1990’s. Our primary focus has always been the end-to-end integrated business process model of supply chain planning from demand planning to order committing, and through execution to on-time delivery. Although we have experience with many software solutions, we have not been affiliated with any specific solutions.

Our clients have been requesting software solution recommendations that would best serve supporting their business requirements when implemented with the TOM® model. As a result, we have launched this program to recognize software solutions that best complement the integrated, enterprise-wide implementations of the Total Order Management (TOM®) business process model and methodology.

Interested software solution providers may request an evaluation of their software solution against the Total Order Management (TOM®) business process model. The software solution will be evaluated in one of five categories:

Enterprise Supply Chain Management

Manufacturing Management

Supply/Inventory Management

Order Management

S&OP Management


A detailed description of these categories can be found in the “Levels of Certification” section of this document. Although each request is reviewed and handled on an individual basis, all potential candidates are evaluated against a list of business requirements, as defined by the TOM® model, that are specific to the certification category.

Based on the results of the evaluation, the software solution will be certified as being one of three levels, providing it meets a minimum of 50% of the TOM® model capability associated with the category being certified:

Standard

Gold

Platinum

OPD Solution’s certification may be able to assist you in the sale of your product. In addition, certification provides OPD Solutions the opportunity to reference your product to its clients whenever it is applicable.

Your software solution in combination with the Total Order Management (TOM®) business process model is a powerful solution to satisfying the requirements of your customers today, and of new customers to come.
